Dr Isaac George, MD
Advisor
Co-Director of the Structural Heart and Valve Center at Columbia University Medical Center, Dr George is one of the few physicians in the world trained in both cardiac surgery and interventional cardiology. He is an expert in the most current and cutting-edge procedures including Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR), transcatheter valvular mitral valve repair (Mitraclip, Edge to Edge), transcatheter mitral and tricuspid valve replacement and surgical TAVR removal/explantation.
Dr George completed a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering at Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1997, a fellowship program in cardiothoracic surgery in 2011 as well as a fellowship program in interventional cardiology in 2012.
Dr. George is an Associate Professor of Surgery and Medicine, and the Surgical Director of Structural Heart of the NYP health system.
Prof. Dr. Ole De Backer

Internationally renowned interventional cardiologist working at Rigshospitalet, Copenhagen University Hospital, Denmark, Prof. De Backer is an expert in structural heart interventions – among others transcatheter heart valve interventions, percutaneous left atrial appendage closure and thoracic endovascular aortic repair.
His special areas of interest are the development and adoption of a fully percutaneous, minimal invasive approach for different structural heart interventions and the use of advanced cardiac imaging tools for planning and guidance of these interventions.
Prof. De Backer is actively involved and leading several research projects in the field of transcatheter heart valves and percutaneous left atrial appendage closure.

Professor Hildick-Smith is an Interventional Cardiologist of international renown, with over 500 peer-reviewed publications. He is current President of the British Cardiovascular Intervention Society.
